| How do I start? Go to Facebook and create your own page. You can do it from the homepage on Facebook. Just fill in the blanks and your page is created! When setting up your account, you can hit "skip" right away to get started (you can search for friends, create a profile, etc...later). How much information do I have to share? It's up to you. Other than your name, e-mail and birthday, there's not much else to provide. You can upload a photo, but it's optional. If you don't include a photo, there will be a question mark in the photo box. Under the Profile tab (top of the homepage), you can add as much or as little information as you want. How do I find the LPM group on Facebook? Type in "Leadership Program for Musicians" into the search box, join the group and be part of the conversation. Why join the LPM group on Facebook? Good question. One of the hallmarks of LPM has been creating community among church musicians, pastors, worship leaders and anyone interested in music and liturgy in the church. Since we all "do what we do" on Sundays, it's difficult to connect with others who share your interests. Facebook is another way to connect with like-minded people. Do you have a question about the program? Do you want to know if there is an LPM program in your area? Are you a newly trained coordinator who wants to ask questions of other coordinators with experience getting a program going? Do you want ideas for others as you plan a special service for your church? Do you want to "pick other folks' brains" about resources to help in your ministry? Pose your questions on the Discussion page (or Wall) under the LPM group and our other members can help answer your questions. We all have lots of knowledge and experience to share. Facebook is a means of sharing more effectively. Can anyone join the LPM group? Yes, it is an open group - that is, no restrictions on membership. |
